West Lakes Canoe Club runs coached Come and Try sessions on Saturday mornings in canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. No experience is necessary we have a range of boats for all skill levels.
Sprint and Marathon competition
Join the West lakes Paddle Sports team.
Club Events
Join other members on a morning paddle or a weekend tour on the Murray River.

NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME

What does membership cover?

– use of clubs boats, equipment and amenities 24/7 and storage of one personal boat (subject to availability of space)

– 1 hour mandatory orientation session 9am Saturdays or by arrangement (booking required)

– can join either a basic skills session 9am Saturday (booking required) or a coached session at 7am Saturdays

– insurance

– Attendance at summer sprint season and winter marathon season

– Join the club at organised events (club, State, National and others) including boat transport

– Club communications by email, facebook and messenger groups

– monthly six-kilometre time trial (last Saturday of the month 7am)

SQUADS AND PADDLING GROUPS

Open Training Squad 

– For those that have developed basic skills and want to improve,  and for those that want to train for sprint and marathon regattas and events.

-Multiple sessions –Up to 8 sessions a week available – sessions are either at 6am or 4:30pm weekdays and 7am Saturdays

–  Conducted by qualified coaches- A coaching contribution fee applies for attendance of more than one session a week- invoiced quarterly

Junior Paddlers

A fun session for juniors to develop paddling skills on kayaks, paddle boards and canoe and make friends at the same time.

Assisted Paddling Sessions

West Lakes provides assisted paddling sessions for those people with a disability that require assistance to either enjoy a recreational paddle or develop their skills to compete in para paddling, we will provide the coaching and support to get you moving on the water.
